And so it begins...

If you look closely at the left side of Carson's head, you will see a little piece of hair flipped up. This is how LG's curls started at around this age. I remember thinking, "Oh, how cute~she's going to have little curls in her hair." Little did I know she would end up with a full fledged afro! But girl knows how to rock the curls!!!
But one set of curls is enough~Carson's head will be shaved like his daddy's! :)

A black eye and an insight into Heaven

LG got her first black eye last Friday when she and another child collided at daycare during a riveting game of duck, duck, goose. This pic was taken on Wednesday after 5 days of healing so you can only imagine what it looked like Saturday morning.
My mom and LG went on a walk last night and had a very spiritual conversation. It started off with LG talking about God and then she said something about "The Lord" and then she said something about Jesus. So my mom asked her who Jesus was and LG said, "God and The Lord and Jesus are all the same person." She went on to say that her granddaddy (my dad) went to heaven because God needed help. My mom asked her what God needed help with and she replied that God needed help with prayers because everybody prays and Granddaddy needed to help God get all the prayers. The conversation ended as follows:
LG: "Do you know how you get up to Heaven?"
Mom: "How?"
LG: "You float?"
LG: "You remember how my Chick-Fil-A balloon floated up to Heaven~it's because Jesus needed a blue balloon."
So precious!

Pet Cemetery

Another one bites the dust...
After Bella died LG asked for a fish so we bought her the most "low maintenance" fish we knew of, a Betta. We asked some fish owning friends of ours what kind of tank we should get and they explained that Bettas don't need a lot, just a small space to swim around, a plant to hide in and we could get a tank with a filter so we wouldn't have to clean it as often.
We bought a 2 gallon tank and "Flippy" the fish and everyone was happy...until the tank was assembled wrong and "Flippy" was sucked up into the filter. Really?! Only at the Adair house where death comes swiftly and cruelly to all small creatures. So~we took the tank and the dead fish back to Petco for a full refund, where we bought a new tank (one with a filter cover) and "Flippy #2."
R.I.P., Flippy #1.
Good luck, Flippy #2.

On the charts!!

Carson is back on the charts! Dr. Lacy said he is but "barely" were his exact words. :) Carson's stats:
Weight: 26 lbs 12 oz (95%)
Height: 31 in (95%)
Head: 95%
He is healthy and has his top two teeth coming in. He got his first flu shot. He said "mama" for the first time while in the bathtub last night. LG and I freaked out and he was looking at us like, "what happened?"
LG is healthy as well. She got the flu mist and will get her set of vaccines at her 5 year check up.Her stats:
Weight: 41 lbs
Height: 43 in
Her head's big too, they just didn't measure it. :)
So glad we got that out of the way. Now we can focus on having a great school year and having fun as a family!

I hope it's for good...

...that I'm back into the blog world. I hate it when I'm used to reading someones blog all the time and they go on a hiatus. So, I hope that I am back to update on a more regular basis.
So, first things first~we have put our house up for sale. We have found a house less than two miles away that we LOVE, that is bigger and has more of the things that we would prefer in our "long-term" house. So, no time like the present (when the mortgage rates are sooooo low) to put the house up for sale. So, if you know of anyone who would like a house in Southaven, in a great school district (Desoto Central), with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, hearth room, bonus room and more, let us know!! :)
Our newest addition, Chloe, is already showing her wild side. We decided instead of getting a kennel for her we would just put a baby gate in front of our laundry room and let her have a little more room. She kept getting out but the gate would be completely in tact so needless to say we were a little puzzled. Andy started calling her, "Chlo-dini." LOL! One day after he put her behind the gate he stayed to watch her and she climbed the gate! Yes, put her paws in the holes and climbed it!!! He caught her on camera at the top! So, now she's in a kennel. Ha!

She also loves to sleep under the couches. LG decided to get under there with her one day. Too stinkin' cute!

LG has been attending a b-day party every weekend for the past three weeks! She has another one this weekend. This was her buddy, Brody's, party where the cupcake icing was a bright shade of green. She asked me to take her pic so she could see her mouth. :)
Last but certainly not least~Carson is 9 months old. We go for his 9 month check up today and LG's 4 year check up. I will post stats tomorrow. He is now taking a "big boy" bath. He has also started pulling up. He is just the most laid back baby ever! He started a new eating schedule this past Saturday. He has a bottle at 6 am, 12 pm, and 6 pm. He eats a stage 2 fruit mixed with 2 scoops of oatmeal at 9 am, a stage 3 fruit or veg right before his 12 pm bottle, a cup of Gerber yogurt around 3 pm, and a stage 3 fruit or veg right before the 6 pm bottle.
Off to the dr~I'll post more tomorrow.

Been gone so long

Sorry, it's been a long time since I posted but I was trying to enjoy every minute of the end of my summer vacation before school started and let me say,
IT HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!!!
It has been a busy busy week trying to get all the kids scheduled for when they start on Monday. I may not post for a few weeks after the kids get here. :)
I'll try to catch you up on what's been going on the past couple of weeks...
Carson started crawling on Saturday, July 21. He is all over the place now. He is such a happy baby. He is babbling~the only word that is understandable is "Da Da." He swam for the first time last Wednesday. He loves the water. He kicks and splashes like crazy.
Lilley Grace celebrated her fourth b-day at Kids Only Gym in Southaven. She had a BLAST! All of her best friends were there (except Tay Tay who now lives in Vermont :( ).
These are some of the things they were allowed to do.

This is her "Partner in Crime." They are in the same class at school but next year they will be in two separate classes~this was a joint decision between the parents of both children and the school. They feed off each other and create all kinds of drama.
After they played in the gym area, we went into the party room and opened presents and ate cupcakes.
I think this was her best b-day party yet.
We have decided to get another dog. After much searching and talking to breeders, we decided on a shorkie (3/4 yorkie and 1/4 shih tzu).
Her name is Chloe and we pick her up tonight. She is going to be bigger than Bella was (5 lbs). I'll post more pics later. I also will devote a separate post to the 3rd annual EH "Bubba" Lilley Memorial Golf Scramble. As always it was a huge success and I have tons of pics to post.
